Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Uttara Ride ("Uttara Ride", "we", "us", or "our") may collect, use, disclose, retain and protect information when you visit our website, use the Uttara Ride mobile application, contact us, use our website travel and partner booking services, or interact with participating riders and partners.
1. Information we may collect
- Account information: name, mobile number, email address, profile information and login-related information.
- Ride information: pickup/drop locations, trip details, booking status, rider/customer identifiers and service history.
- Location information: location information needed for pickup, navigation, live rider/customer tracking and service operations, subject to the permissions you provide and the actual app configuration.
- Parcel information: sender/receiver details, pickup and delivery information and parcel/service details necessary to complete a delivery.
- Payment information: transaction references and payment status. Payment credentials should be handled by the applicable payment provider rather than stored by Uttara Ride unless expressly described in the final product documentation.
- Rider/partner information: identity, contact, verification, licence/document, bank/settlement and service information where required for onboarding and operations.
- Device and technical information: IP address, device/browser information, app version, diagnostics, logs and similar technical information.
- Communications: messages, support requests, feedback, reviews and information you choose to provide.
2. How we use information
We may use information to create and manage accounts, provide and improve services, match customers with eligible partners, process website bookings and payments, administer stays/adventure/rafting/camping/homestay services, communicate service updates, prevent fraud and abuse, resolve disputes, provide customer support, comply with legal obligations and maintain security.
3. Location and live tracking
Where enabled, location information may be used to show a customer's pickup point to an assigned rider and to show relevant rider/status information to the customer during an active service. Location permissions can be controlled through the device settings, although disabling required permissions may prevent some features from working.
4. Sharing information
Information may be shared with the rider or partner involved in providing the requested service, payment processors, hosting/technology providers, customer-support providers, professional advisers, authorities where legally required, or another party when necessary to protect users, the service or legal rights. We should not sell personal information merely to fund the service.
5. Riders and partners
Rider and partner onboarding may require verification information and supporting documents. Access should be limited to people and systems that need the information for verification, compliance, settlement or service operations.
6. Reviews and public content
If you submit a review, rating, photo or other content for publication, information you choose to publish may be visible to other visitors. Do not publish sensitive personal information in a public review.
7. Cookies and analytics
The website may use essential browser storage or, if later enabled, analytics/advertising technologies. The final published version should identify the actual cookies, SDKs, analytics providers and advertising partners used and provide any consent controls required by applicable law.
8. Security
We intend to use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information and services involved. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Retention
Information should be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the stated purposes, legal/accounting requirements, dispute resolution, fraud prevention and legitimate operational needs. Actual retention periods should be documented in the production data-retention schedule.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of certain permissions, or complaints about processing. Requests should be sent to the official Uttara Ride support channel at +91 99997 95358. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
11. Children
Uttara Ride should not knowingly collect information from children in violation of applicable law. The final website terms should state any age/eligibility requirements for customers, riders and partners.
12. Third-party services
Maps, payments, authentication, hosting, analytics, communications and other integrations may be operated by third parties. Their own terms and privacy policies may also apply.
13. Changes
We may update this Policy as the service changes. The effective date above should be updated when a material revision is published.
